I have had several surgeries performed by Dr. Iyengar……Bilateral Dacrocystorhinostomy, and Bilateral Blepharoplasty. These were all done in a pleasant and professional manner. The office staff are very efficient and courteous. Some physicians only want to do cosmetic surgery, and if you have a medical need, it is almost impossible to get an appointment. Not so with San Diego Eyelid Specialists. I highly recommend Dr. Iyengar and his staff for your eyelid needs.

My ophthalmologist recommended Dr. Iyengar to correct entropion (turning in of the eyelid) that was causing a lot of irritation. And I’m very glad that he did. Every aspect of the experience was positive: friendly, efficient staff to friendly, efficient, excellent doctor. What more can you ask for? Now, five weeks after the procedure, my eyelid is perfect, and there are no hairs rubbing against my cornea. Thank you, Dr. Iyengar.

In early 2025, I had a bad surgical result by a plastic surgeon. He performed bilateral lower blepharoplastics and I couldn't completely close my eyes postoperatively. He and his nurses instructed me to tape my eyes and massage them which I did religiously to no improvement after many months. I sought 2 consultations. One with a facial plastic surgeon and one with Dr Iyengar. Both said I had had a bad outcome and needed surgery. I chose Dr Iyengar and I am so glad I did. He was very empathic and communicated preoperatively and postoperatively to make sure I knew exactly what was to be done and to make sure I was doing well. I have never had a physician to be so attentive as Dr Lyengar has been. He is very concerned about his patients and is surgically very competent. I have had a great result and recommend Dr Lyengar for simple and complex procedures involving the eyelids.

Dr Iyengar is the best of the best. I did a lot of research, and learned about Dr. Iyengar’s extraordinary background, superb skills, and excellence in patient outcomes. During the consultation appointment, the Doctor showed both his clinical expertise, and focus on patient care. Dr Iyengar performed a lower blepharoplasty. He thoroughly explained the procedure, and what to expect post surgery. Dr Iyengar is such a gifted surgeon, that I experienced zero pain and discomfort after the procedure. The outcome is absolutely beautiful and very natural. My eyes look refreshed, not redone. I also get my Botox done by Dr. Iyengar. He administers the injections with the most natural and refreshed results. I will not even consider going elsewhere. The staff at San Diego Eyelids are all professional and very kind. I always appreciate their help in appointment scheduling, and following up on any questions I may have.

I enjoyed working with Dr. Iyengar and his staff. This was an easy procedure and went beyond my expectations. Not only does it look amazing, it corrected the vision in my right eye, which had more excess skin than my left and a stigmatism. I wore a contact to correct it, and because of the surgery, I now have 20/20 vision and no longer have to wear a contact. I am beyond happy with my results!
